Tom Godfrey

Tom grew up in a family with 9 siblings, all supported by his parent's small business .
After high school Tom joined the U.S. Coast Guard where he enjoyed a 21+ year highly decorated career, advancing from Seaman Apprentice to Chief Warrant Officer, and commanding Coast Guard ships and multi-mission stations in NY harbor and Maryland. After the Coast Guard, Tom spent a year in Federal civil service (post 911), where he was the very first Executive Secretary for the Area Maritime Security Committee of Boston Harbor and Eastern Massachusetts. This is where he he also earned his merchant mariner's credentials.
Tom entered the private sector in 2004, holding senior leadership positions in oil and propane operations, as well as refined fuels terminals throughout New England. In 2008 Tom moved his sole focus to operational safety.
Tom is a lifelong learner, and his path has allowed him to continually refine his education and experience. Over the past 18 years Tom has held senior safety positions for Irving Energy, AmeriGas, Hubbell/Aclara, RapidXchange and Ferrellgas.
During his career, Tom has built an extensive network that includes the experts in all aspects of the energy, transportation and hospitality industries.
